I had Chanel face makeup combo for a quite some time now and I still love it but I decided to give some other products a try. I picked up two of leading Sephora primers, from Benefit Cosmetics.

I never was a huge junkie of face primers. I tried them out few but never sticked to particular one. Le Blanc de Chanel was the one that was my favourite for the longest period of time, I repurchased it two times and still have it, I’m still going to use it but I thought to try out something that actually does something to the skin. Just to see the difference.

You don’t even have to ask for a perfect primer in Sephora because you’ll always get the same answer; POREfessional from Benefit Cosmetics. There are two products in this line and I was told that you can achieve the perfect ‘poreless smooth skin’ look if you use both of them together. I ended buying both of them, just to see what this hassle is all about.

Both these products are designed to be used on oily skin. I apply Super mattifying gel first. It’s actually not a primer, it’s water based gel and it absorbs the excess of oil on the skin so it reduces its shine. It should leave your skin with beautiful natural looking matte finish, pores suppose to appear much smaller and all the imperfections on skin blurred. You apply a tiny amount to the full face.

On top of this gel I use the original primer from Benefit Cosmetics, The POREfessional. This is a face primer that minimises the look of pores and fine lines, it also helps makeup to stay flawless. You should apply a small amount of this primer right where you want the additional blur of your pores or fine lines, wait for a ten minutes so the both products dry together and then you can apply liquid foundation.

I have to be honest and I’m sure you my loves already know; the price point of these products it pretty high so I also had high expectations when I tried them out first. I use them for almost a week now and I have to say, I absolutely adore this combo. They don’t appear heavy on the skin, I can barely feel them. I tried three foundations (Mac Studio Fix, Estee Lauder Double Wear and Chanel Perfection Lumière) on top of them and they all work perfectly. There was no creasing of a foundation or anything, every foundation stayed flawless for at least 8 hours. I’m very much in love with this combo and I hope that you my loves will give these products a try, I think they’re very much worth of every penny. If you don’t have oily skin, you can skip first one, if you do, I highly recommend you to try it out!

I’ll be back with you tomorrow with Mani Monday series! Good night!
